The wives of the Deacons are part of the Deaconess Ministry. These ladies assist the Deacons
in serving God's people and assisting the Pastor.

Thanksgiving Outreach History
In 2004, Pastor Brooks initiated the Thanksgiving Outreach
Ministry. The mission of this ministry is to identify and give
assistance to families during the Thanksgiving season. It was his
vision for Macedonia to go beyond her walls to demonstrate love
by reaching out to the surrounding community. While the primary
focus is on the community, assistance is also given to members
within the church. He charged the Deaconess Ministry to facilitate
this effort.
Initially, approximately 30 40 baskets overflowing with large
turkeys, and all the trimmings to complete a Thanksgiving dinner
were disseminated to the local community. Last year, baskets were delivered not
only to the immediate community, but to the community surrounding our new
church site. Last year, Macedonia was blessed to provide 100 families with
Thanksgiving baskets, This year Macedonia will provide 125 families baskets.
While the Deaconess give leadership to this event, it is an outreach for the entire
Macedonia Baptist Church. All members are asked to donate items listed on the
Thanksgiving “menu”, which can be found posted throughout the church, in the
monthly “Did You Know” (see below), in the Sunday bulletin, or
by simply asking a deaconess.
Items Needed: Turkeys, Stuffing mix, gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Corn Bread mix, Cranberry
Sauce, Canned Corn, Green Beans,
Sweet Potatoes, and Yams.
Donations bins will be located around the church
starting NOW until Saturday, November 22nd.
