The Prison Ministry is for adults 21 years of age and above who have a desire
to share the love of God with inmates and ex-inmates in a variety of ways.

PRISON MINISTRY SUMMARY

TRAINING SESSIONS - October 11, 2008. 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
Come out to learn how to be a mentor to inmates who are close to their release date.
There is a great need for mentors in our community to help inmates to successfully transition back into the community.

There will be upcoming training dates announced later for those individuals wanting to visit inside the prison.

IN PRISON VISITS - Men only! Lansing East Prison. Every 4th Saturday. 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Meet at the church at 5:00 p.m. Transportation provided by church van.

Women only! MCI (behind Arrowhead Stadium). Every 3rd Tuesday. 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

Jackson County Detention Center - 1300 Cherry, K.C., MO. Visit inmates who belong to Macedonia or are love ones to a member of someone who belong to Macedonia.

SPECIAL EVENTS - Angel Tree. Sponsor children whose parents are in prison by purchasing Christmas gifts for them.
Gifts will be distributed to the children at Macedonia in December. The gifts will be addressed from the parent currently in prison. Watch the smiles light up the room as kids receive gifts from their parents.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

• Write letters, send cards.
• Build relationship with inmate's family in the community.
• Prayer.
• Volunteer at local Prison Fellowship office (administrative work).
